ANCHORAGE (AP) -- An 11-year-old Togiak boy died after apparently inhaling aerosol air freshner, Alaska State Troopers said Monday.
Shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday, troopers in Dillingham were notified of the death of Michael Franklin. Troopers said he was found unconscious behind a grocery store in Togiak.
Troopers said they are investigating the possibility that Franklin was inhaling aerosol air freshner with another child his age before he passed out.
Franklin was taken to a local health clinic where he received emergency medical treatment. Troopers said he died died while a Medevac aircraft was en route from Dillingham, about 70 miles east of Togiak.
The boy's body was being sent to Anchorage for an autopsy.
