School district appreciates work of Soldotna Police Department

Applause

Posted: Tuesday, September 18, 2001

The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District would like to send special thanks to Shirley Warner, Soldotna chief of police, and her entire staff for the extra effort put forth in helping keep our schools safe on the first day of school.

It was apparent that the Soldotna Police Department made a special effort on the first day of school to be visible and supportive in helping our students have a great first day of school. I myself had the pleasure of visiting with Sgt. McGillivary in front of Redoubt Elementary. That type of support gives me a great deal of comfort as a district administrator and as a parent.

In addition, Chief Warner and her entire staff are to be commended for the outstanding effort they put forth in supporting our schools throughout the school year.

Thank you!

Todd Syverson

Assistant superintendent
