The United Way 2006 campaign kickoff was given a jump start Wednesday with a $65,000 check from Chevron at the Kenai Chamber of Commerce luncheon. The donation represents more than 10 percent of the United Way’s goal of $600,000. Shown from left to right are Johnny Santiago, operations coordinator for Chevron; Sue Carter, Kenai Peninsula United Way 2006 campaign chairwoman; Tina Herford, Kenai Peninsula United Way executive director; and Chris Myers, operations superintendent for Chevron.
