JUNEAU (AP) -- The Alaska Permanent Fund dividend is $1,850.28, the state Revenue Department said Wednesday.
Despite a stormy stock market which caused the state's oil investment account to lose money for the first time in 25 years, the dividend was only $113.58 less than last year's payment.
An estimated 590,423 Alaskans will receive the 2001 dividend, the department said.
