Amanda and Jeremy Cole of Duncan, Okla., announce the birth of their daughter, Leona Gale Cole at 5:41 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, 2005, in Duncan. She weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces and measured 18 inches.

Her grandparents are James and Judy Cloud of Nikiski, Pat Hall and David and Linda Cole, all of Duncan. Her great-grandparents are Joe and Betty Cloud of Nikiski and Glen and Marie Dorman of Burns Flat, Okla.

Maureen and Christopher Hensley of Soldotna announce the birth of their son, Vincent Edward Lee at 8:40 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at Women's Way Midwifery in Soldotna. He weighed 11 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 23 inches.

He joins sisters, Nikki Johnson and Keri McCusker and brothers, Taylor Johnson, Tommy Johnson and Andrew McCusker. His grandparents are Rhonda Johnson, Roger Johnson and Edith McCusker, all of Kenai and Jim McCusker of Soldotna. His great-grandparents are Ron and Anna Creasey of Kenai and Nikki Schaler of Port Hadlock, Wash.



Heather and Nicholas Russell of Nikiski announce the birth of their son, Caleb Alexander Russell, at 2:31 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, at Central Peninsula General Hospital in Soldotna, He weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and measured 18.5 inches.

His grandparents are Lisa and Richard Amerine and Pamela and Steven Russell, all of Nikiski.





Jessica (Yessak) and Ben Wedin of Anchorage announce the birth of their twin daughters, Makenna Riley Wedin and Madeline Sierra Wedin on Thursday, June 23, 2005, at Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage.

Makenna was born at11:55 p.m. She weighed 7 pounds, .06 ounces and measured 20 inches.

Madeline was born at 11:56 p.m. She weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces and measured 20 inches.

Their grandparents are Doug and Linda Yessak of Soldotna and Pete and Debra Wedin of Homer. Their great-grandparents are Jack and Miyoko Heckle of Washington and Mary Hankla of Oregon.



Rachael and Nathan Verba of Sterling announce the birth of their daughter, Tori Lynn Verba, at 8:33 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at Central Peninsula General Hospital in Soldotna. She weighed 9 pounds, 10 ounces and measured 20 inches.

She joins sister, Mol-lee, 3. Her grandparents are Jess and Sherry Evans of Soldotna and Steve and Marlys Verba of Sterling. Her great-grandparents are Bill Hart, Peg Hart and Edna Evans, all of Soldotna, Leonard Farke of Armour, S.D. and Dorothy Carda of Lakes Andes, S.D.
