The Kenai Central girls and Seward boys cross country teams won Kenai Peninsula Borough titles on Saturday in Seward.
The Kenai girls took three of the top four positions to score 27 points, while Soldotna was second with 42 points.
Bailey Beeson picked up her first borough crown for the Kards by crossing the tape at 19 minutes, 36.12 seconds. Soldotna's Bree Mucha was second at 19:44.54, while Kenai's Hope Steffensen was third at 20:37.58.
Also in the top 10 in the girls race were Kenai's Taylor Ostrander at fourth, Soldotna's Maranda Merkes at fifth, Soldotna's Melanie Smith at sixth, Kenai's Rylee DeVito at seventh, Skyview's Hannah Hutchison at eighth, Seward's Kristina Atherton at ninth and McKenzie Barnwell at 10th.
The Seward boys took the top three slots to score 22 points and win the boys crown. Kenai was second with 48 points.
Seward's Brett Chase won the title in 17 minutes, 8.65 seconds, while Miles Knotek was second at 17:14.07 and Austin Gillespie was third at 17:24.72.
Also in the top 10 were Kenai's Travis Semmens in fourth, Skyview's Bud Sparks in fifth, Kenai's Fox Michaud in sixth, Seward's Andrew Buchanan in seventh, Skyview's Daniel Rozak in eighth, Seward's Matt Moore in ninth and Kenai's Evan Atchley in 10th.
