Fenske's work appreciated; quality of service will continue

Posted: Monday, September 20, 2004

Donna Fenske recently retired as a public health nurse, as you noted in your profile of Sept 12. We in the Department of Health and Social Services Division of Public Health (DPH) will miss her as much as the communities on the Kenai Peninsula will miss her. She has been a creative, imaginative, skilled advocate for improved public health.

DPH is committed to continuing to strengthen the foundation she leaves behind. We will support Ms. Fenske's successors as they build their own public health legacies and will continue to advocate for the public health needs of the people and communities of the Kenai Peninsula.

Richard Mandsager, M.D., Director, Division of Public Health
