Dorothy Mae Erdman
Dorothy Mae Erdman of Ninilchik died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was 73.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30 at the Ninilchik American Legion, Mile 136 Sterling Highway.
Born Jan. 19, 1932, in Fond du Lac, Wis., she was the daughter of Jacob and Verna Toll Erdman. She lived in Fond du Lac until her marriage in 1951 to Harold Littlefield Partridge. She had four children, Rodger, Debbie, Karen, and Barbie.
Mrs. Erdman enjoyed visiting with family, cooking, laughing, singing, traveling, entertaining, reading, knitting and solving crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Since moving to Alaska, she also enjoyed karaoke and had become a member of the American Legion.
Mrs. Erdman was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Littlefield Partridge; son, Rodger Partridge; brother, Robert Erdman; and sister, Judith Drexel.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Joe Amato and their son Anthony, all of Ninilchik; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Ed Strong and their children Trevor and Terra, all of Yorktown, Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Barbie and Hart'l Backer and their son Jefferson Billingsley, all of Ninilchik; daughter-in-law and grandsons, Valerie, Bradley and Gary, all of Greeley, Colo.; grandson, Alexander and his wife Jocelyn Kaye, of Houston; granddaughter, Sharon Kaye of Houston; and other family members, the Behnke family, Serena Toll, Florence Streeter and Cheryl Drexel.
