Kenai's Hall plays for 49ers

Travis Hall, who was born and raised in Kenai, was listed as a defensive substitution for the San Francisco 49ers Sunday in the 49ers' 42-3 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Hall was not credited with a tackle in the game.

Skyview's Carpenter plays for UAA

Jenny Carpenter, a graduate of Skyview High School, is a sophomore outside hitter for the University of Alaska Anchorage volleyball team.

Saturday, the Seawolves recorded their first Great Northwest Athletic Conference victory of the season, sweeping Saint Martin's 30-28, 30-22, and 32-30 at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex in Anchorage. Carpenter had five kills, five digs and three aces in the match.
