Grateful for roadside help

Posted: Tuesday, September 21, 2010

This past weekend my mother, daughter and I were involved in a vehicle collision in Nikiski. I would like to express my thanks to all the people who stopped to help, called 911 and directed traffic and offer assistance to us and the other driver.

Thank you to my neighbors Julie, Tracy and Lilly who stopped to check on us and offer support. Thank you to Ashley and Corey McGee of Lighthouse Community Church who stopped to pray for us and offer their help and support. Thank you to the EMT's and Troopers for their very quick response and for being so caring and thorough in checking us all out for injuries.

Despite a slight injury to my leg we all walked away and were able to go home without needing to go to the hospital, which I truly praise God for. Also, thank you to Walter (Skip) Dodson who rushed right over to help clean up and drive us home. We are truly blessed to live in such a helpful and caring community.
