Will SI attention jinx Kardinals?

Should the Kardinals fail to qualify for the postseason, perhaps they can blame it on the infamous Sports Illustrated jinx.
Freelance photographer Rich Frishman, on assignment from the national sports publication, has been on the Kenai Peninsula this week, putting together a photo essay on football in the Last Frontier.
"He's doing a piece on Alaska football," said Kenai coach Jim Beeson.
Beeson added that Frishman saw Kenai's schedule on the Internet, one of the factors in the selection of the school as a subject. Beeson said the photographer also spent some time in Homer this week.
"It's a neat deal," Beeson said.
