Hockey booster club to meet
The Kenai Central High School Hockey Booster Club will hold a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the teacher's lounge at the high school. All parents of students interested in playing hockey for KCHS should plan to attend.

Chamber to host candidate forum
The Homer Chamber of Commerce will host a borough mayor and assembly forum Tuesday to help educate the voters for the upcoming election. The one-hour forum will be held at noon at the Best Western Bidarka Inn in Homer.

WRCC board to meet
The Kenai-Soldotna Women's Resource and Crisis Center will hold its monthly board meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the center at 325 S. Spruce St. in Kenai. For more information, call Laurie at 283-9479.
Seniors plan benefit dinner
The Sterling Senior Citizens Center will host a United Way benefit dinner at 6 p.m. Friday. The cost for the dinner, which includes chicken cordon bleu, twice-baked potatoes and broccoli medley, is $8.
Church to hold dinner
The Men's Community Dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church on Island Lake Road. The community is invited to attend.
Community blood drives planned
The Blood Bank of Alaska's Kenai Peninsula Center will hold a blood drive at the Anchor Point Senior Citizens Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Drink caffeine-free liquids and eat a good meal before donating.

The Kenai Peninsula College is looking for several energetic individuals to serve on the KPC College Council. The council serves as a public advisory role for the college and seeks to have representation from all sectors of the community.
