Kenai Cooperative Preschool

Posted: Wednesday, September 22, 2004

The lemonade stand was a success last week. Students made their own lemonade and "sold" each other glasses for $5. Preschoolers counted their own change.

Monday, students picnicked with their teddy bear friends by cooking porridge and reading "Goldilocks."

Today, students will do bear math, bear food tasting and discuss "famous" bears.

Each week, preschoolers learn sign language words connected to the theme. This week, students are learning the signs for bear, bee, honey, fish and growl.

Next week, the class will read "If You Give a Moose a Muffin." Preschoolers will make muffins and handprint moose and have a mad moose obstacle course. At music, students will learn the moose mambo.
