Driver offers teachers more of a raise than district does

I would like to thank the man who stopped by the teachers' informative picket in downtown Kenai on Wednesday afternoon.

As many of us educators were holding up signs and holding out for a fair contract from the district, a man drove by, stuck his hand out and the window and handed us a shiny new quarter.

Thank you, sir, for offering us more of an increase in our stagnant wages in one charitable gesture than the district has yet to offer us at the negotiations table.
