Mrs. Larned's class is learning how to use a variety of different materials including fraction circles, stamp game, multiplication and division boards, grammar boxes and word study boxes.
The second- and third-graders are working on reports about famous North Americans. The classes also are studying the countries of North America, and some students are making flag books about them.
Mrs. Sotelo's class is studying ancient Greece and geometry. The students have been solving math problems and working with geometric solids and geometric patterns in nature, such as in the honeycomb of a bee. The class appreciates Lisa Schmitter-Schrier for teaching it about bees and honey extraction. The class then made bee models, honey and beeswax candles.
Teachers and staff members appreciate all of the parents who volunteer for special trips, projects in the classroom and at home.
