Members of Girl Scout Brownie Troop No. 237 pose together at their awards and bridging ceremony held Friday at Redoubt Elementary School. Those pictured include, from left to right, front row, Kimberly Leavitt, Emily Books, Jasmine Thomson and Ava Gabler. Back row, leader Sheilah-Margaret Pothast, Hannah Pothast, co-leader Lynn Dusek and Ali Dusek. Other members not in attendance, Jenna Helminski, Brittany Junkert, Natalia Eskelin, Gracie Larson and Emily Pugmire. The ceremony included individual recognitions, parent volunteer appreciation, junior bridging ceremony, a photo slide show, balloons, cake and beverages. The girls worked throughout the year on try-it badges in safety sense, cookies count and making music. In addition, the Troop donated items and money to the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank, rang bells for The Salvation Army, participated in numerous field trips and two camp outs over the summer.
