Baby girl dies at Fort Wainwright

FAIRBANKS (AP) -- A 3-month-old girl has died on Fort Wainwright, according to a post spokeswoman.
The father of the baby found her unresponsive and not breathing at the family's home on the post on Sunday.
Kesfna Ford, the baby's father, called an ambulance. The child, identified as DeJonae Ford, was taken to Bassett Army Community Hospital where numerous attempts to revive her failed. She was pronounced dead shortly after noon, said post spokeswoman Linda Douglass.
A medical examiner in Anchorage performed an autopsy. Results are expected in three weeks.
