The ceremony included a blending of sand from the Kenai beach, the beach at Puerto Vallarta and the lakeside site of the couple's future home in Ashland, Neb. The couple's brothers, Matthew Peters and Shawn Luebbe, signed the wedding certificate.

The reception took place on the veranda of the Riu Palace Pacifico and featured local seafood and a special presentation of baked Alaska. Guests enjoyed a three-tiered cappuccino, white and carrot wedding cake.

Special guests from Alaska, who enjoyed five days of activities in Puerto Vallarta, included Becca Adams, Ashleigh Farris, Dan McKeirnan and Emery Thibodeau, Sheila Burke, and Erinn and Brennan Scotland.

The couple honeymooned at the Riu Palace Pacifico and explored Puerto Vallarta and Mexico for seven days after wedding guests departed. They will continue to live in Omaha until construction of their new home in Ashland is completed.
