Michael and Wanda Mendenhall of Kenai recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.
The couple met in high school and began dating during their senior year. The dated for a year after graduation and were married on September 7, 1985. They have made their home in the Kenai area for the past 25 years. Mike has worked for the past 21 years at Tesoro Refinery and is the Assistant Pastor at Kenai United Pentecostal Church. Wanda has been busy raising three daughters and home-schooling them through high school to graduation.
The couple's daughters are Amanda, 23, Rachael, 21, and Amy, 19. They have a 3-year-old grandchild, Shalia.
The couple writes, "25 years has passed so quickly but through all of it God has blessed us with a beautiful home and life. We have been blessed to travel and see much of the U.S. We are planning a fall colors tour of New England in early October to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We are thankful for the years God has given us and look forward to the next 25."
