BIG LAKE (AP) -- Drug enforcement officers made a big marijuana bust in Big Lake, Alaska State Troopers said.
The Mat-Su Drug team served a search warrant at a home in the Knollwood Heights subdivision in Big Lake Tuesday and found 990 marijuana plants. Investigators called the operation it a sophisticated commercial growing operation.
Plants, growing equipment and supplies were confiscated at the home.
Troopers said a husband and wife at the home were contacted and charges were being referred to the district attorney's office. The names of the man and woman were not released.
The Mat-Su Drug Team is made up of Wasilla and Palmer police and Alaska State Troopers.
