Patricia Mae Spencer
Former Alaska resident Patricia Mae Spencer died Thursday, Aug, 17, 2006, in Shreveport, La.
Mrs. Spencer was born April 28, 1935, to Robert and Edith Stepp Simpson. She was a 1953 graduate of New Kensington High in Pennsylvania and a minister’s wife in Florida and Alaska for more than 40 years.
“She loved God with all her heart, enjoyed music and was a very industrious lady. Her children were greatly influenced by her example. She once said, ‘There is no greater joy than knowing that my children walk with the Lord,’” her family said.
Mrs. Spencer was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert Simpson.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, the Rev. Clifford M. Spencer; daughters, Danette McCabe of Springfield, Mo., Carrie Reichel of Kirkland, Wash., and Tricia Young of Nikiski; son, Clifford M. Spencer Jr. of Anchorage; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Bailey’s Mortuary Inc. in Plain Dealing, La.
