United Way exec to address chamber

Workshop offers self-employment information

The Dislocated Worker Entrepreneur Training Program, a program of the Peninsula Job Center, offers a free workshop today at 1 p.m. at the Peninsula Center Mall in Soldotna. Participants will explore self-employment opportunities and training. For more information, call 260-2663.

CPGH offers parenting program

The Kenai Peninsula Community Care Center offers the video-based program "Active Parenting of Teens" tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Central Peninsula General Hospital. Soprano, pianist will perform at KPC

Women's hockey team takes to the ice Sunday

The Peninsula Puffins Women's Hockey Organization will begin Sunday, when the team will meet at the Central Peninsula Sports Center at 3:15 p.m. The team is open to all women 14 and older of all levels of skating abilities. Coaching is provided; the team plays against Kenai Peninsula Hockey Association teams and Anchorage women's teams. Fund-raiser scheduled for support group
