Joseph S. Carlough Jr.

Memorial services for Skipper Joseph S. Carlough Jr. will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Seafarer's Memorial on the Homer Spit. Pastor Rick Wise will officiate. A gathering will take place at the Homer Elks following the services.

Mr. Carlough was born Nov. 14, 1957, in Seldovia. He died Aug. 17, 2000, from injuries sustained in a car accident. He was a lifelong fisherman and most recently worked as a Kasilof setnetter, longliner and Bering Sea crab boat captain. He was affectionately known by many as "Little Joe."

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Carlough's memory may be sent to the Seafarer's Memorial Fund, Box 796, Homer, AK, 99603.
