Former Soldotna resident Daryl Dean Graff died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, at his home in Kalama, Wash. He was 57.
Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 17, at Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park in Longview, Wash.
Mr. Graff was born March 3, 1947, in Sunnyside, Wash. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in Yakima, Wash., in 1965 and attended aviation school at Spokane Community College.
Mr. Graff moved to Alaska in the early 1970s and lived. He served in the First Calvary Air Borne during the Vietnam War and was a supervisor for Unocal Oil in the Cook Inlet fields.
He was known for his love of motorcycles, hot-rods and astronomy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ellen Gibbs, formerly of Soldotna.
Mr. Graff is survived by his fiancee, Dianna Scott; sons, David Graff, Darren Graff and Jonathan Graff; stepdaughter, Brooke Scott; brothers, John Graff, Gene Graff and Dan Graff; and foster father, Stan Hillwick.
Donations can be made in Mr. Graff's name to the American Heart Association.
