Kaleidoscope School of Arts and Sciences

Posted: Wednesday, September 29, 2004

Today is picture day. Sibling pictures will be taken after school.

The academic policy committee will meet at 7 p.m. today. All parents are invited. There will be discussion of the growth and configuration of Kaleidoscope for next year.

Mrs. Larson is combining the study of leaves and trees with poems and songs about fall. The focus is on loud and quiet in movement, song and instruments. There will be a performance at 2:15 p.m. Oct. 14.

The students became "geologists" last week when they studied soil in the science lab. They observed soil samples, predicted the best type of soil to grow plants and experimented with thermometers. They also made birch bark bookmarks and prints from plants.
