Parents may use Edline to check their child's attendance, view missing homework and assignments and receive other important classroom and schoolwide information. Parents of fourth- through sixth-graders also may check their children's current grades. Activation codes were mailed to parents last week. Students in grades four through six have their own Edline accounts and will be trained to use them by their teachers.
Students sold $24,817 worth of merchandise during Redoubt's fall fund-raiser. The school will receive approximately $11,000 in proceeds from the sale. The PTA and site council will help decide how the funds are used. Top-selling classes were Mr. Gossard's third grade and Mrs. Withrow's fifth grade. Top-selling students were Samantha Wilson, first; Brian Dusek, second; Victoria Link, third; Emily Brown, fourth; and Michael Hill, fifth.
Parents of Title I students are invited to a parent meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday. Child care will be provided.
The lost and found will be emptied Friday.
Study guides for the National Geography Bee are available at the school for $9.95. Students wishing to purchase a study guide should send the money to school in an envelope with the student's name and "Geo Bee Book" written on the front.
The 2004-05 PTA officers are Corbi Aaronson and Ruth Ann Truesdell, co-presidents; Rebecca Hanson, secretary; and Nita Fena, treasurer. The next PTA meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 12.
