Proposition 5 could jeopardize positive steps

Posted: Thursday, September 29, 2005

We hope that when voters go to the polls on Oct. 4, they will remember that all borough sales tax collected is dedicated to education funding.

A cap of 2 percent on the sales tax, plus the requirement of a 60 percent voter approval (Proposition 5) could seriously jeopardize the positive steps this borough has made to fund education for the past many years.

Please vote "no" on Proposition 5.
