HOMER 59, KETCHIKAN 0

Homer shut out Ketchikan Saturday, tallying up points to a score of 59-0.

Neal Kuipers scored a seven-yard touchdown run within the first two minutes of the game and the Mariners' scoring flood gates would not close. Following a Luke Roberts touchdown run, and an added two-point conversion, Homer's Adam Crum returned an interception for a touchdown and the Mariners followed with another touchdown and extra point run. And this was just the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Sam Ingram, Jon Adams and Crum each scored, but the team was unable to convert the extra point attempts. The scored remained 46-0 through the third quarter, but Homer closed out the game with touchdowns in the fourth quarter with 5:20 to go and 1:05 to go.
