Nikiski seniors plan bazaar

The Nikiski Senior Citizens Center is preparing for its annual fall bazaar and bake sale to be held Oct. 31, Nov. 1 and 2. Tables are available for rent for $10 a day. For more information, call Leigh or Sherry at 776-7654.

Johnson's donates to Boys and Girls Clubs

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Johnson's Tire Service, the company sponsored a two-day "Really Big Winter Tire Sale," Sept. 14 and 15, then donated a portion of the proceeds to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southcentral Alaska, including Anchorage, the Matanuska-Susitna Valley and the Kenai Peninsula.

Johnson's Tire Service will present a check for $7,379 to John Oates, CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southcentral Alaska, today at 1 p.m. in Anchorage.

Homer Community School corrects fall program

Homer Community School announced there is an error in the fall catalog for the Latin American Literature class. The class meets Oct. 9, Nov. 6 and Dec. 4 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and costs $20. For more information, call (907) 235-6090.
