For veterans, the difference between the two candidates for U.S. Senate could not be clearer. I am a veteran of World War II and member of American Legion Post 20, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 5 and AMVETS Post 4. All of us agree that a top priority for Congress is mandatory funding of veterans health care. This means funding is guaranteed and does not have to be fought about every year; it's automatic.
Tony Knowles supports mandatory funding, and his position is echoed by the the American Legion, VVA, The Military Order of the Purple Heart, Disabled American Veterans and the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
Alaska's veterans should check the record and then line up and vote for one of our own, a veteran who has been there, as we have! I will be voting for Tony Knowles! Hope most other Veterans will do likewise!
