Alaska and Clever, Mo., resident Jerome (Jerry) Pfaff passed away Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002, at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Mo. He was 72.
Funeral services were held Sept. 18 at Adams Funeral Home in Nixa, Mo. Burial was in Jones-Chastain Cemetery in Nixa.
Mr. Pfaff was born April 21, 1930, in Jamestown, N.D. He lived in Alaska for 50 years where he worked in the construction field, both in Alaska and the South Pacific. He supervised the building of schools and power plants as well as the pipeline throughout Alaska. He also was a self-employed businessman both in Alaska and Missouri. He loved to fish and hunt and in August of this year retired to Clever.
Mr. Pfaff was a member of North Road Baptist Church in Nikiski.
He was preceded in death by three sons, Richard, Derrick and Jason Pfaff, a brother, Leroy Pfaff, a sister, Leona Greenwalt, and his parents.
Mr. Pfaff is survived by his wife, Shirley; step-sons and their wives, David and Peggy Fitzpatrick of Marionville, Mo., Ron and Reta Fitzpatrick of Clever and Carl and Jeannette Fitzpatrick of Marionville; brothers and sisters, Inez Greenwalt of Laurel, Mont., Fred Pfaff and wife, Joyce, of Tigard, Ore., Raleigh Pfaff and wife, Gala, of Bend, Ore., Duane Pfaff and wife, Janet, of Puyallup, Wash., and Berniece Denham and husband, Bob, of Redding, Calif.; grandchildren, Amanda, Renae, Justin, Regina, Caitlin and Callie Fitzpatrick; and many friends both in Kenai and Clever.
