The Cardiac Patient Support Group will meets from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. the first Monday of each month in the Redoubt Room, located in the lower level at Central Peninsula Hospital. Kenai Cub Scout Pack 611 will sell popcorn at Country Foods IGA on Friday and Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. The money raised from popcorn sales goes towards its awards, uniforms, events and camp experiences.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Central Peninsula Hospital will host it's second annual "Pamper Me Pink" event Oct. 15 at the Women's Imaging Center from 5 to 8 p.m. No appointments are necessary, however, a physician's order and standard fees apply. The evening will include mammograms, massage, manicures, munchies, mocktails, music, moral support and more.
The event is sponsored by Central Peninsula Hospital and the Pink Ribbon Rally.
