Cost of hospital expansion small compared to Anchorage treatment

Posted: Friday, October 03, 2003

In the past year, I have had four out-patient procedures at an Anchorage hospital. Each of these procedures required an overnight stay at a motel, plus meals and transportation expenses for myself and a family member, the required patient attendant.

The cost assessed to me for the proposed hospital project, Proposition 2 on the Oct. 7 ballot, will be small compared to expenses incurred elsewhere.

My family will vote "Yes" on Ballot Propostion No. 2, designed to add needed services not currently available for the Central Peninsula Hospital Service Area.
