Team feasts on unexpected generosity of anonymous fan

Posted: Monday, October 03, 2005

The Cook Inlet Academy cross country team would like to extend a big "thank you" to the individual who paid for our dinners in Anchorage on Sept. 24.

We were celebrating the Regional first-place finish of our girls team and second-place finish of our boys team at the Red Robin restaurant in the Northway area. We were told after dinner that an individual from Soldotna had paid our tab.

This was no small gift, as there were almost 30 of us eating dinner.

We were surprised, amazed and stymied, since our benefactor wished to remain anonymous.

Since we were unable to thank you in person, we hope you will see this letter and know that we so appreciated your kindness. Your generosity was a delightful gesture that touched each one of us.

So, thank you from all of us!

Steve Beeson, On behalf of the Cook Inlet Cross Country Team, Soldotna
