Lois May Greenewald
Kenai resident Lois May Greenewald died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, at Central Peninsula General Hospital with her family by her side. She was 87.
Per her request, no services will be held.
Mrs. Greenewald was born Aug. 18, 1919, in Eagle River, Wis., She moved to Alaska in 1936 and has lived all around Alaska, including Fairbanks, Juneau, Petersburg, Ketchikan, Hollis, Hoonah and Homer.
“Lois enjoyed her family making Christmas cookies and feeding her wild birds. She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting and, in later life, enjoyed daily walks with her dog,” her family said.
She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Engel of La Conner, Wash.; daughters, Lois J. Barke of Rogue River, Ore. and Kathleen O’Guinn of Soldotna; son, John Reynoldson of Kenai; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
