Students in the Alaska Department of Fish and Game's moose butchering class work to finish cutting up a moose Sunday afternoon, Sept. 22, 2002, at the Fairbanks Community Foodbank in Fairbanks, Alaska. Participants paid $50 for the day-long class, which started with a lecture about field dressing a moose, handling the meat in the field and then the hands-on lesson of cutting and wrapping the meat for the freezer.
