Fish and game sets meeting

The Seward Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the upstairs conference room in city hall. The agenda will include Fish and Wildlife reports, fish proposal discussions and other business that may come up before the committee. For more information, call Jim McCracken at 224-3701.

Childbirth film offered

There will be a free film showing and class in the Bradley method of childbirth at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 12 in Soldotna. For more information and location, call Olga at 262-9291.

Alcohol and drug abuse council to meet

The Cook Inlet Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse will hold its annual meeting at 5 p.m. Oct. 18 at 10200 Kenai Spur Highway. The purpose of the meeting is to elect board officers. The public is invited to attend. For more information, call Henry Novak at 283-9891 ext. 204.

Healing touch class offered

A level one Healing Touch class will be held Oct. 23 at the Central Peninsula General Hospital. Twenty continuing education contact hours are available for nurses and massage therapists. Social Security reps to visit area

Social Security Administration representatives will be on the Kenai Peninsula from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 19 at Seward Council Chambers; from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 20 at Kenai City Hall; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Homer Senior Citizens Center.
