Dance club seeks members

The Twin Cities Dance Club is seeking community members interested in learning to dance to attend its Tuesday and Thursday night dance lessons from 7 to 9 at club at the corner of Kenai Spur Highway and Beaver Loop Road. Peninsula Democrats to meet

The Peninsula Democrats will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Paradisos. The featured speaker will be Jake Metcalf, Alaska Democratic Party chairman. For more information, call Blake Johnson at 776-5212.

Caregiver meeting slated

The National Family Caregiver Support Program Alaska will host a caregiver support group meeting from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Sterling Senior Citizens Center. For more information, call 262-6808.

CIRCAC to meet

Genealogical society to meet

Hospital service board meeting scheduled

The South Peninsula Hospital Service Area Board will meet at 6 p.m. Oct. 11 at 4300 Bartlett Ave. in Homer. This meting will be in conjunction with the South Peninsula Hospital Inc. Board of Directors meeting. The topics will be SPHI response to the Kenai borough mayor regarding the internal audit and a status report on the hospital expansion.

CICADA to elect officers

The Cook Inlet Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse will hold its annual meeting at 5 p.m. Oct. 17 in its office at 10200 Kenai Spur Highway. Election of officers will take place. For more information, call 283-989, ext. 204.

Library pumpkin contest continues

The Soldotna Public Library is sponsoring a pumpkin carving and painting contest. Entries must represent a fictional book character.

Painted pumpkins can be dropped off until Oct. 28. Carved pumpkins can be dropped off from Oct. 24 to 28. Judging and awards will be given Oct. 28. Entries dropped off at the library must be ready for display. For more information and complete contest rules, call 262-4227.
