Time for a four-lane road between Kenai and Soldotna

Posted: Monday, October 04, 2010

It is time to take the single lane road, called Kalifornsky Beach Road between the Sterling Highway and Bridge Access Road and make it a five lane road. Many are the travelers that are quite upset with having to put up with people that will not drive the speed limit, which is 45 and 55, people who are not confident in their driving, the big rigs that pull out when there is room and when loaded take quite some tome to get up to speed, and I could put in a few more reasons for the slow speeds. The left turn lane is used for passing, merging and at times left turns.

Let's get the State to finish their job and get two more lanes going.

Dan Young, Kenai
