A look at questions and results from the Alaska Poll on Ballot Measures 4 and 5. The survey of 518 Alaska residents was conducted Sept. 21-Oct. 1 by Dittman Research of Anchorage and has a sampling error of 4 percent.

Ballot Measure 5 -- Capping property taxes

A tax cap initiative will be on the ballot that would limit municipal property taxes to a maximum of 10 mills. Do you plan to vote for or against the tax?

For: 39 percent. Against: 48 percent. Unsure: 13 percent.


Ballot Measure 6 -- Legalizing marijuana and other hemp products

There will be an initiative on the ballot called ''99 HEMP'' that would legalize marijuana for Alaskans 18 and older and regulate it like alcohol. The initiative would also provide amnesty and possible restitution for persons convicted of marijuana crimes in the past. If the election were today, would you most likely vote for or against this initiative?

For: 35 percent. Against: 61 percent. Unsure: 4 percent.
