Where: Lowe's Motor Speedway (Concord, N.C.)
When: 1:05 p.m. Sunday
Broadcast: Television TBS; Radio Performance Racing Network
Track: 112-mile quad-oval
1999 winner: Jeff Gordon
What it takes to win: Perhaps more than any other raceway on the circuit, Lowe's Motor Speedway requires the ability to conform to ever-changing conditions. The speedway is famous for creating a litany of challenges. One minute, the pavement is slippery; the next it's too abrasive. The best groove might be low for the first 100 miles, then against the outside wall for the next 100 miles. The driver who can identify those conditions and a car that's adjustable enough to mirror the changes has the best chance to win.
Morris News Service pick: Jeremy Mayfield
Other drivers to watch: Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Burton, Jeff Gordon, Bobby Labonte, Dale Jarrett and Tony Stewart
