Last Wednesday students began selling gift wrap, calendars, planners and other items. This fund-raiser benefits the entire school.

The seventh-grade class is hosting a fund-raiser to benefit hurricane victims. There will be a bake sale Oct. 14 and 15 and a collection jar is at the office.

Kendra Moerlein finished the cross country season with a fifth-place finish at regions. That earned her a spot at the state meet. Ashley Bartolowits qualified for the regional academic team and the girls won the sportsmanship award.

There will be a home volleyball game at noon Saturday against Kenai.

The staff would like to recognize the following parent volunteers: Deana Bentzen for her time and dedication in Mrs. Boll's K-3 class; and Tammy Bear for her help in the library and for publishing the Wolverine Wrap Up.

All parents of Title 1 students are invited to a meeting at 7 p.m. today in the school library.

HSQE testing will continue through Thursday.

The seventh-grade math class has been participating in Mind A-Mazes. The winning team will compete at the district's competition at Soldotna Middle School on Saturday.

The high school drama class has been busy with a series of plays performed for the elementary students.

The Ninilchik Traditional Council has contributed to the swimming program by providing free swim Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and is also in the process of purchasing a water slide.
