Addictions group meets

Reformers Unanimous, a Christ-centered addictions program, meets at 7 p.m. Fridays at Immanuel Baptist Church. For more information, call 283-9361.

Clothes closet opens

The First Baptist Church in Soldotna will offer free clothing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays in the garage at 119 Little St., off Binkley.

Women’s Bible study set for Kenai

The Family Church of God will host a women’s Bible study at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Fancis Episcopel Church on Spruce Street in Kenai.

The study will be “Living Your Life as a Beautiful Offering,” based on the Sermon on the Mount and written by Angela Thomas. It is open to all women. For more information, call Barb at 283-0200.

Matrix Church event planned

The Matrix Church will meet at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the Triumvirate Theater at the

Peninsula Mall. This week will feature a new Puppet Team, music and skits from Pastor Ron of Kenai New Life Assembly. There also will be give aways. Matrix Church is designed to reach young adults with children. For more information call 262-7416.

Sunday healing classes begin

The Abundant Life Assembly of God will host a series of healing classes at 6 p.m. Sunday’s at the church at Mile 81.5 Sterling Highway in Sterling. Classes will include: mending broken hearts Oct. 15; liberty from substance abuse Oct. 22; and freedom from fear and negative emotions Oct. 29. For more information, call 262-7266.

Kids’ night out planned

The Lighthouse Community Church will host Kids’ Night Out from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sundays. Van rides will be available. Children in grades kindergarten through six are eligible to attend. For more information, call 776-8234 or 252-4454.

Clothes Quarters is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 225 S. Spruce St. in Kenai.

Youth conference continues

Abundant Life Assembly youth conference “Rising Legacy” continues at 7 p.m. Saturday at the church. The conference is a way for young people to take the next step and set a new precedence by no longer settling for spiritual mediocrity but rising to new levels of significance. Prizes will be given to those who bring the most friends.

Live music will be played. Stephen Powell and Shannon Bren will be the featured speakers. For more information, call 262-7266.

Missionary conference slated

The Soldotna Bible Chapel will host a missionary conference ‘Harvesting in the 21st Century’ Oct. 15 through 17.

Featured speakers will include Larry Sharp, Trevor Camstra, Duane King and Mike Matthews. There will be a potluck dinner at 5 p.m. Oct. 15 followed by a panel discussion. Meetings on Oct. 16 and 17 will from 7 to 9 p.m. The public is invited. For more information, call 262-4865.

The Clarion is seeking photos of church activities or events to print on Friday’s Religion page.

If your church or youth group holds a special event you would like to share with the community send it to us. Photos may be e-mailed to news@peninsulaclarion, dropped off at the Clarion’s office at 150 Trading Bay Drive in Kenai or mailed to P.O. Box 3009 Kenai, AK 99611.

The following information needs to accompany photos: Contact name, phone number and address; name of person who took photo; date photo was taken; a brief description of the event; where the event took place; and names of people in photo.
