The ceremony celebrated the opening of the Kenai VA Medical Clinic, part of the Alaska Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, located in the Benco Building in Kenai. The clinic will serve 770 peninsula veterans who previously had to travel to Anchorage to receive health care through the VA Healthcare System, said Michael Bell, community affairs director for the Alaska VA Healthcare System.
