Nikiski Fire Department first aid class much appreciated

Posted: Thursday, October 07, 2004

The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Kenai Peninsula would like to recognize the Nikiski Fire Department and Senior Class Capt. Craig Ralston for conducting the CPR-first aid training class for our staff. This is not the first time Mr. Ralston and the Nikiski Fire Department have offered to provide this important training. Like so many others in our surrounding communities, they understand the importance of our organization's ability to provide a positive place for kids, and we value their continued support.

A safe environment for our club members is foremost at each of our clubs across the Kenai Peninsula. All key youth development staff members are required to be trained and certified in CPR and first aid. Certifying and updating staff can be costly, and we are grateful to have folks like the Nikiski Fire Department to help us defray these costs and to help us ensure a safe place for kids!
