Soroptimist meet today

Referee's association to hold clinic

Parent support group meeting scheduled

The Peninsula Parents Anonymous Group meets at 6 p.m. every Thursday at Bridges Community Resource Network, next to Buckets restaurant in Soldotna.

The group is for parents who would like to improve family relationships or who feel stressed or overwhelmed. The is no fee. A meal and a children's program is provided. For more information, call 262-9990 or (800) 478-7678.

Comprehensive plan update meetings set

The Kenai Peninsula Borough will hold public meetings to present its draft update of the 2005 comprehensive plan.

The meetings are scheduled for the following borough locations:

Tustumena -- From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Tustumena Elementary School multipurpose room, Mile 110 of the Sterling Highway.

Cooper Landing -- Begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cooper Landing Community Hall on Bean Creek Road. This meeting will be in conjunction with the Cooper Landing Advisory Planning Commission meeting.

Sterling -- From 6:30 to 9 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Sterling Elementary School cafeteria, Mile 83.5 Sterling Highway.

Soldotna -- From 6:30 to 9 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly Chambers, 144 N. Binkley St. in Soldotna.

Nikiski -- From 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 16 at the Nikiski Middle-High School library, Old Nikiski Beach Road.

The comprehensive plan team will give a presentation about the planning process and key findings of the plan, followed by an open house that will feature discussion about issues, goals, objectives and plan implementation actions.

Meeting participants will have an opportunity to ask questions, comment and complete written questionnaires on the plan.
