ANCHORAGE (AP) -- An Anchorage man died early Monday when he lost control of the stolen car and it rolled, according to Anchorage police.
The man, who hasn't been identified by police, was thrown from the car.
A passenger in the car, Frank Charley, 21, suffered head injuries in the crash. He was taken to Alaska Regional Hospital for treatment.
Police said they were called by workers at a convenience store about 4:20 a.m. after the Geo Tracker came to rest in the store's parking lot.
Police believe alcohol was involved in the crash. They say the driver apparently wasn't wearing a seat belt. It wasn't clear if his passenger was belted.
The vehicle had been reported stolen from an Anchorage home on Saturday.
