NEW YORK -- Brian Leetch scored with 2:15 left in overtime as the New York Rangers beat the Buffalo Sabres 5-4 Sunday night.

Eric Lindros had a goal and an assist in his first home game with the Rangers as New York came back from a 3-1 deficit.

The other Rangers goals were scored by Radek Dvorak, Andreas Johansson and Michal Grosek.

J.P. Dumont, Stu Barnes, Slava Kozlov and Vaclav Varada scored for the Sabres.

Panthers 5, Lightning 0

TAMPA, Fla. -- Roberto Luongo recorded his seventh career shutout, and Jason Wiemer had two goals and an assist as Florida beat Tampa Bay.

Luongo had 28 saves, including one on an in-close chance by Fredrik Modin during a four-minute power play in the second period.

Goals by Valeri Bure, at 3:35, and Wiemer, at 9:10, gave Florida a 2-0 lead in the first period.

Hurricanes 3, Stars 0

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Arturs Irbe recorded his 31st career shutout, and Josef Vasicek, Martin Gelinas and Jeff O'Neill scored as Carolina beat Dallas.

Irbe stopped 32 shots for his 100th Carolina victory.

O'Neill's breakaway goal snapped Dallas' NHL record of 24 straight games outscoring opponents in the third period. In that span, the Stars had outscored teams 32-14.

Wild 4, Kings 3

LOS ANGELES -- Defenseman Willie Mitchell's slap shot from just inside the blue line with 11:56 remaining lifted Minnesota over Los Angeles.

Mitchell's shot from the left side sailed past goalie Felix Potvin's upraised glove and proved the difference in a seesaw game in which Minnesota's Sebastian Bordeleau scored on a penalty shot in the second period, and Los Angeles' Ziggy Palffy missed a penalty shot shortly after.

In the third period, Mathieu Schneider's second goal of the game drew Los Angeles into a 3-3 tie with 14:20 left to play.
