The lower-grade students are learning about weather. The students have been graphing the temperatures of cities across the United States, using the newspaper as a resource. The students are expanding their vocabularies by adding weather words such as precipitation and condensation.

The fourth- through sixth-graders are exploring natural resources.

The seventh- and eighth-graders are learning about water, including its properties in various forms.

The staff would like to congratulate Tom Werth, who passed all his math facts tests in three minutes.

After reading the "The Marble Champ," the fifth- and sixth-graders have started a fad by bringing marble bags and shooters to school and playing at every opportunity.

Kenny Werth and Luke and Ryan Burow enjoyed reading the book "Stone Fox."

The Bible lesson of the week explores God's destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Grace Lutheran Preschool still is enrolling 3- to 5-year-old students for its new two- or three-days per week program. For more information on either the preschool or elementary school, call 283-9551.
