Mark Reynoso and Janna Schaafsma
Janna Schaafsma and Mark Reynoso were married Saturday, June 24, 2006, in Seattle. John Rysdyk of Soldotna Bible Chapel and Jon Brown of First Reformed Church of Oak Harbor, Wash., officiated. The couple met at Seattle Pacific University in the fall of 2004.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Sue Schaafsma of Soldotna. She is a 2002 graduate of Soldotna High and a 2006 graduate of Seattle Pacific University. She is employed as a registered nurse at the South Haven Hospital in South Haven, Mich.
Mark is the son of Raul and Mary Reynoso of Oak Harbor, Wash. He graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 2005 and is in his second year at Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Mich.
The maid of honor was Kate McCarthy of Boise, Idaho. Bridesmaids were Hannah Clare of Soldotna and Sarah Glatzel of Seattle.
Eric Dipzinski of Oak Harbor was the best man and Scott Krager of Seattle and Michael Schuler of Minneapolis were the groomsmen.
Guests were greeted by the bride’s brother, Andy. The groom’s sisters, Joanna and Monica, were the candlelighters. Renee Rysdyk provided the piano prelude.
Special out-of-town guests included the bride’s grandparents, Dave and Marge Cochran of Soldotna, and extended family members from Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, Massachusetts and Mexico.
The couple honeymooned on the Riviera Maya in Mexico, then traveled to Soldotna for a reception with family and friends. They reside in Holland, Mich.
